Cruise Holidays in Scotland

Orkney Ferry, not a Scottish Cruise ship!Cruise Holidays Scotland

When it comes to international cruise holidays, Scotland hasn’t been left out. We have three cruise departure ports in Scotland and many other cruises stop here on international voyages.

Many people who plan a cruise holiday from Scotland don’t want to include the flight to meet their cruise ship in a far away port and choose a cruise departing from Scotland.

Cruising Holidays from Scotland

There are three main ports in Scotland cruises depart from: Greenock, Rosyth and Leith.

Cruises from Rosyth are operated by Fred Olsen Cruises. Rosyth is close to Edinburgh Airport and people cruising from here will travel under the iconic Forth Bridges. Rosyth cruises call at ports in Ireland, Scandinavia and Northern Europe.

The port of Leith is and east coast cruise port and is part of the City of Edinburgh. If you decide to cruise from Leith, you can choose to cruise on the luxury Silversea cruise line or Cruise & Maritime Voyages. Cruises from Edinburgh depart to the Hebrideas and Scottish Islands as well as Scandinavia, Ireland and Northern Europe.

Cruises from Greenock are operated by Fred Olsen and Silversea cruises. Greenock is Scotland’s west coast cruise port and is less than half an hour’s drive from Glasgow Airport. You can depart from Greenock to Scottish cruise destinations such as Orkney and Shetland as well as the Mediterranean, Portugal and Gibraltar.
