Skiing in Scotland this Weekend
I received an email last night from ski-scotland.com alerting me to Cairngorm which sould be opening it's ski tows for a spot of skiing this weekend. As far as I know this will be the first weekend of the season and the other ski centres at Lecht, Glenshee, Nevis Range and Glencoe still remain closed. That could make things very busy at Cairngorm so you'll need to get there early to be in with a chance of a lift pass. Still, it means winter's here - my favourite season.

New Year Breaks in Scotland
Just posted a short article introducing New Year Breaks in Scotland. This is the first in a series and over the next few weeks we'll go into more detail on what, where and when everything is happening in Scotland over New Year.

Something to do in Edinburgh this Weekend: Art Fair
If you are looking for something to do in Edinburgh this weekend, Edinburgh Art Fair is running from 24th -26th November 2006. The venue is the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. Entrance is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. There is a cafe and bar and complimentary creche.
This fair always has a lot of art - 60 galleries are exhibiting this year.

Brilliant Golf Blog
A friend introduced me to this golf site that belongs to his friend and I must say that although I play golf just a few times a year, this site brings the funny side back to golf. It's called the Principal's Nose and is updated very regularly.

The Principal's Nose is actually a set of bunkers on the 16th hole of the Old Course, St Andrew's.

Anyway, for anyone looking out for a great golf blog, go to it and add the feed to your reader.

Glamis Castle twins with Great Wall of China
Stranger things have happened but an agreement between Glamis Castle and the Great Wall of China to help promote each other is ceratinly up there in the strange stakes.
I wonder exactly what it means? Visit China posters above the urinals in the rather lovely loos at Glamis? Perhaps someone in a Jimmy wig selling Forfar Bridies at an opportune spot on the Great Wall of China ?
