Sometimes the weather here in Scotland can be awesome. For the past week we've had soaring temperatures (unless you've been covered by the east coast sea haar). Edinburgh runners deserted the capital's marathon in droves due to the heat. Swimming pools have been full of people cooling off and we've generally been living like we're on the Mediterranean rather than the North Sea.
However, all good things come to an end and this morning has returned us to heavy rain, mist and cloud. Without this kind of weather though Scotland wouldn't be the country that it is, lush, green and carved into some rather fetching scenery. So don't be downhearted if you wake up to a rainy day in Scotland - they can be as much fun as a sunny day. A wise man once said "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad choice of clothing".
