Wednesday, April 26, 2006 Visit Mull and Iona ![]() Another in this weeks series of Island features from The Scotsman, this article on Mull and Iona is excellent for anyone considering visiting these two special islands. I had a trip to Mull and Iona a couple of years ago and was blown away by how great both places were. We camped at the south end of Calgary Beach on Mull for nothing, sat on the beach and watched the sunset with a bottle of red and nobody else around. The next day we had a picnic on the Iona beach at the Bay at the back of the Ocean, again with only sheep for company. It was a very special trip and one to recommend to anyone. Downside - midges can be bad in the summer. |
