Tuesday, November 22, 2005 Cost of Petrol in Scotland
I had an email today from the owners of a property site I subscribe to introducing me to their new petrol prices site at www.petrolprices.com. I think it's particularly applicable to visitors to Scotland. The cost of petrol often puts people off a motoring holiday in Scotland, but it doesn't have to.
With a little forward planning you can choose the cheapest places to fill your petrol tank whilst on your holiday and know that you're saving quite a bit over the people who didn't plan. Membership of petrolprices.com is free and gives you access to petrol prices and related information across the UK. www.petrolprices.com Tuesday, November 15, 2005 New Year Tickets for Edinburgh Hogmanay
As usual, the free tickets for Edinburgh's Hogmanay get snapped up pretty quickly. Even a lot of people who live in Edinburgh can't get those tickets. It is possible to still get tickets for the Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party by buying the party pack at £17.50 as well as the more expensive options of buying an Edinburgh's Hogmanay Club membership and buying tickets for the Concert in Princes St Gardens (Texas and KT Tunstall this year).
So you can still get tickets for Edinburgh's Hogmanay, you've just got to shell out for them. http://www.edinburghshogmanay.org/tickets/ |
This blog is a guide to our holidays in Scotland website and also contains info for visitors to Scotland including Scottish hotels, holiday accommodation, things to do and places to go in Scotland.
