Saturday, October 01, 2005 Scottish Walking Festivals
This month sees two big Scottish walking festivals taking place.
The Crieff Drover's Tryst is a walking and arts festival celebrating Crieff's historic place as a market town where cattle drovers from all over the country walked to for the cattle markets in years gone by. At one point the streets of crieff were thronged with 15000 cattle. Find out more about the walking festival at www.droverstryst.co.uk On the west coast is Cowalfest - the Cowal Walking and Arts Festival. This is a large walking festival with loads of walks and cycle routes, combined with arts events. Well worth looking at their programme at www.cowalwalking.org |
This blog is a guide to our holidays in Scotland website and also contains info for visitors to Scotland including Scottish hotels, holiday accommodation, things to do and places to go in Scotland.
