Tuesday, August 17, 2004 Summer's back
Just as I lament the nicer part of the year leaving us, it's back. The sun came out on friday and we spent an extremely pleasant weekend in Killin.
Normally Killin is somewhere that we just drive through, perhaps pausing at the Falls of Dochart for a pint, but this time we stayed for the weekend and enjoyed every minute. How nice it was to find a tiny town like this with 2 sets of public toilets. How nice to find a safe and clean children's playpark that keeps dogs out and is devoid of empty buckfast bottles. This is part of Stirlingshire. Neighbouring Perthshire council should take note - this is the way a small town in the hills should be. In addition, the town has some great wee shops and of course the waterfall - The Falls of Dochart. Next time I come through here, I wont be so quick to drive past. Thanks Killin www.killin.co.uk |
