Glenmorangie, for sale - Holidays in Scotland

Wow - Glenmorangie is for sale. Valued at 300Million. Now that might not be quite on the same price level as Sparks'n'Pincer but WoW! That's a lot of money being made by one distillery.

At least I thought so anyway. Then I realised that the company isn't run by just the 16 men of Tain, as suggested on the bottle. Sure, they do the important whisky making bits, but there are another 400 people employed by Glenmorangie. Ah, well that's more like it.

That means that everyone that works there is worth roughly three-quarters of a million pounds to the company. That would be a hell of a pay off if you got made redundant. Whomsoever buys the place better take that into account if they ever consider down-sizing it.
