Perth Theatre in Association with Mull Theatre, are currently running a new production of Kidnapped. This Robert Louis Stevenson tale is one of my favourite stories, a true adventure rampaging the length and breadth of Scotland. The book is an absolute classic adored by children and adults alike.
The show runs in Perth until 4 Oct 03 then is quite rightly going rampaging round Scotland with stops in the following towns - Fraserburgh, Inverurie, Elgin, Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Stonehaven, Ullapool, Lochinver, Lyth Arts Centre-In-Exile, Durness, Clashmore, Ardross, Strontian, Isle Of Mull, Isle Of Bute, Isle Of Islay, Ardrishaig, Campbeltown, Garelochhead, Cumbernauld, Musselburgh, Mallaig, Isle Of Skye, Nethy Bridge, Ballachulish, Oban. Find out more from Perth Theatre, or Mull Theatre. Wednesday, September 17, 2003
OK, so I mentioned some of the things we've been up to this summer.
Last saturday saw the Leuchars Airshow 2003. What an awesome day it turned out to be. It doesn't really matter if you agree with government foreign policy regarding the war, it's not the fault of the air force. They have to do what they're told. Luckily, when they're not overseas, one day a year they get to just show off a bit, and it's something you really shouldn't miss. We arrived just when the Red Arrows were taking to the sky. They are without doubt the finest pilots in the world, and the display they put on was awe inspiring. Dozens of other aircraft took to the sky as well, with FA-18's, Tornado's and the old favourite, the Phantom all making guest appearances. All that action plus beautiful sunshine, the Fife countryside and a pint or two of Guinness made this year's airshow one to remember. Can't wait for next time. www.airshow.co.uk The Red Arrows
What? September already, and no posts for 3 1/2 months? My oh my, we have been busy this summer. Camping trips, T in the Park, Edinburgh Festival, Leuchars Airshow and so much more. It has been an immense summer, one of the best ever. Will update you on some of it in due course. For now just wanted to let you know that I haven't disappeared, and will write more as the nights get longer.
Thanks for looking in. |
