Dunkeld Hotels
Dunkeld is one of Scotland’s gems. It is a beautifully preserved village on the banks of the River Tay in Perthshire with an ancient history. As a place to go on holiday in Perthshire it is just about perfect. It’s very easy to get to but feels distinctly like you are in the Highlands.
Visitors to Dunkeld can walk around the ancient cobbled streets, visit the cathedral (which can trace its roots back to the 9th century) and see the grave of the Wolf of Badenoch. There are lots of small shops and cafes to explore. The ancient bridge across the Tay was the work of Thomas Telford. There are unlimited walks and mountain biking available from the doorstep including around The Hermitage. See our guide to Dunkeld things to do.
