The Oban Bay Hotel is another hotel very near the centre of Oban, this time on the Corran Esplanade with panoramas over the water and beyond. It is a 3 star hotel graded by Visit Scotland. Prices at this hotel are resonable and reviews are generally good. It has a massive 80 bedrooms. Pre-booking car parking space seems to be recommended though if you are to avoid a long walk to your car.

The Columba Hotel stands at the other side of the Harbour from the Caledonian and is another large Victorian hotel in Oban. It is central and very handy for a drink at the excellent Oban Inn across the street.

The Palace Hotel in Oban is another central oban hotel with good views from many rooms. Some of the rooms were upgraded for 2008 - probably best to get one of them if you can. Good Prices.
